Tasty Tuesday - Community Hamburger, I mean Meatloaf

Yep.
Meatloaf.
A cheap, yet satisfying staple.

Am I a fan?
Depends on my mood.

Here is my recipe for it.
Bobster loves it.

2lbs of ground meat (pick your poison, beef, chicken, turkey)
1 egg
1 egg white

1/4 cup milk
2 cloves finely chopped garlic
S&P
1.5 cups of breadcrumbs (plain or Italian...doesn't matter)
3/4 cups of Parmesan cheese (I will play around with the cheese & breadcrumbs....I will use more of whatever I have more of on hand)

Mush it all together.
Form in pan (spray pan w/ Pam 1st) in a loaf.

Bake approx 60 -75 mins in 350 degree oven.

Viola!

AAAAWWW

Know what he did?
Friday night he went over the garage.
When he got home he had a bag.
Thought he got himself something to eat.

Nope.

Inside was a box of Tastykakes & a card.
For me.
A card because he was thinking of me.

That's why I love him.

Dancing with the Stars

Who is your early favorite?
I have to say, I am absolutely enjoying these two.
Steve O

Steve Wozniak (the Apple guy)

First, let's examine Steve O.
A former Jackass....in all the sense of the word.
Currently a recovering drug addict/alcoholic who is attempting to clean himself up & his image.
Bad injury last week...sure he has put his body through Hell on the Jackass show but a little dance & he is down for the count.
Steve O is putting his faith in this dance & I admire him for.
He seems so geniune on DWTS.
I am rooting for him.

Now let's take a look at Steve Wozniak.
Is this man not the most happiest, fun loving guy?
Sure, he can't really dance for a lick
BUT
He is putting his heart & soul into it & he is enjoying every minute of it.
The judges are cruel.
I know they judge on talent but do they have to be so mean.
And what does Steve do during the tongue lashing?
He smiles, takes it all in & leaves with the nicest comments ever!
Tonight he said he thought he deserved less scores than what the judges gave him.
Um, hello, this chubby hubby did the Worm.
I don't even like to bend over to tie my shoes because of my belly & this guy got on the floor & wormed his way across.
That deserves a 10 in my book.

I know, I know, it's a competition based on talent
BUT
they need to have a competition for hearts b/c both Steve's would tie for number #1.

You go boys!
You go!

Tide Loads of Help

Come join me in helping our nation.

You can purchase this shirt (& others in different colors & styles) here:
Tide Loads of Help

What is it all about you ask?
Here ya go:

Tide Loads of Hope helps in the aftermath of a natural disaster by providing clean clothes and a sense of comfort to families in need. Partnering with Feeding America, we travel to disaster affected neighborhoods with the Tide Loads of Hope truck or vans, our free mobile laundry service.

  • Tide Loads of Hope truck:
32 high-effiency washers and dryers stationed on the truck
Can do 300 wash and dry cycles a day -equal to one year's worth of laundry for a single family
Will wash about 9,000 loads of laundry over a four-week period
Leveraged during massive disasters where electricity is unavailable in the region

  • Tide Loads of Hope vans:
In partnership with a local laundromat, the Tide Loads of Hope vans provide free laundry service at the same load rate as the trucks
Leveraged during disasters where neighboring communities still have a source of electricity

To date, Tide Loads of Hope has washed more than 35,000 loads of laundry for over 20,000 families. Most importantly, the Tide Loads of Hope program means we're equipped to take action whenever and wherever there is a need in our country.

Tide Loads of Hope Vintage Tees:
Tide Loads of Hope can also be supported through the purchase of a Tide Vintage Tee. All profits go to support families affected by disaster.

Where it all started
In the wake of Hurricane Katrina, the need for clean clothing became critical, and Tide found a way to help. So in November 2005, the Tide Loads of Hope truck headed to Camp Hope in the Metairie, LA area and cleaned over 10,000 loads of laundry. The spirit of this first venture informs and inspires everything Tide Loads of Hope program does.

Will you help out?
I hope so.

Per Random.org the winner is:

And who, pretell, is that.
None other than #21:
@sweetbabboo said...
Oh, I'd love to win. My son is just moving into the toddler sizes and he'd look adorable in that. You are so right about the lack of cute boy clothes. It is so frustrating. The favorite clothing item I ever purchased for Linus was a long sleeve red t-shirt with a black skinny tie screened on. He rocked it. My current fave is a pair of Converse OneStars in red that I picked up at Target for less than $20. I love them and they look so hip.So, pick me please otherwise I'll spend WAY too much at Fat Tie although I probably will anyway.-Abby

So Congrats Abby.
You should have an email from me.

Fisher Price I Love U

See this:

This race track was one of Cheeks Christmas gifts from Santa.
He loved it.
Sadly, it broke the day after Christmas.
Fast forward to Jan. when I finally call Fisher Price to tell them about the problem.

They asked that I ship the track back to them & they would replace it.
I could keep all the little parts that came with it they just want the track.
So I send it back some time in Feb. b/c I am quick like that!

It arrived yesterday.
An entirely new one.
With all the little people, chatkes & such.
Well Cheeks forgot he had ever had it so I broke it out.
OMG!
He adores it.
He sat & played with it for 30 minutes & laughed & hooted & hollered.
Then when I came to watch he told "Back in the kitchen Mommy" as if I was invading his "man cave".

I want to thank Fisher Price for having such awesome customer service.
I had a few problems with Cheeks vibrating chair when he was an infant & Fisher Price kept sending me new parts every week til it was fixed.
At no charge!
Hello!
Free to fix.
And every rep that I have ever spoken with there is so sweet and nice.

So, if you have a little one who loves race cars, get the child the Fisher Price Spin & Crash Raceway....the child will adore it. Not to mention if there are any problems just call Fisher Price. They are on the ball.

America's Next Top Model

Ok, bear with me.
I only saw the last 30 minutes.
I have no idea of any cat fights or such.
What I do know is Allison was in the bottom two?
WHAT???
Sure, she's odd looking but in the editorial photos, she totally rocks it!
The chick can model.

She is fast becoming my favorite
BUT
Next week I think it comes to fruitition that she doesn't want to be there.
Hmmm...will have to see.

That biatch, Sandra, had the best pic this week.
Please!
Send her home.
Can't stand her.
Honestly.
She sucks.
Wait.
Her photos aren't bad, she is just a sucky person.

What are your thoughts?

He works cheap!

Race car season has opened.
We need all the CHEAP help we can get.
He just asks that we buy him the occasional "race car" or "dinosaur".

Cheeks has his 1st ear infection.
Poor kid woke up from his nap on Thursday screaming.
We took him to the Well Clinic @ Walgreens b/c we were just at the ped the night before & they were closed.
The ped said his ears were fine
BUT
24 hours later...BAM!
Ear Infection.
I can not say enough about this Well Clinic.
Love it!
Its run by a nurse practitioner who was so patient & kind with Cheeks.
We were able to get a script for an antibiotic from her
&
Then today she called to see how he was doing.
Perhaps his ped should take a tip from her b/c they never do that.

Anyway you would have no idea his sick.
Running around like a nut.
Now he's napping so I am off...to make a Chicken Artichoke Casserole.
Sounds yummy.
I have to improvise so we shall see how some of it turns out.

America's Next Top Model, Seriously?

Why is she still there?

I can not stand this girl.
Sandra, a 19 yo, know it all with an attitude.
She takes ok pics, in my opinion.
This week was makeover week so she's not blonde...an improvement
BUT
She is a bitch.
I think they are keeping her around just for ratings & too see who blogs about her...well job well done on that one.

So what do you think???
Any early favs for now?

How do you tire a 2yr old out on a Friday night??!!??

You take him to Pump It Up in Marlton for his cousin's 9th bday & just let him go!
This slide was about 15 feet in the air.
He tackled the steps up all by himself & didn't want any help.
His 5 yr old cousin, Amanda, felt she needed to help him. She is a little mommy where Cheeks is concerned & it is just too, too cute!

And away we go............

Surprisingly, he was giggling & was throwing himself all around when he got to the bottom.
The child loved it.

Now my little daredevil has a cold & a fever & a cough to rival any 90 yr old, 3 pack a day smoker. Poor kid.

On another note, are you watching Dancing with the Stars?
I am already lovin Steve-o because he is trying to clean up his act. Good for him!

America's Next Top Model...

Season 12 premiered.
Did you watch?
Have you picked out a fav yet?

I have picked out one that should have gone home already...Sandra.
What a stuck on herself bimbo.
Can't stand her.
Not very good at the whole modeling thing either.
What was with the stop on the runaway...Hello?!

I tend to like Alison.
The chicky with the Campbell Soup Kid eyes.

There is the other girl....of course, now her name escapes me, wait, I think Katelyn....her ex boyfriend is Dale Earnhardt Jr. Not too shabby.
I like her.
Not built like a typical model.
Boobs, hips & if I am not mistaken, a bit of a tummy.
She has spunk!
And she's really cute.

Of course, Paulina is back as a judge.
What a colossal Biatch.
I can not stand her.
Talk about stuck on herself.
She makes Janice Dickinson look like a cake walk.
Of course, I am a fan of Twiggy.
Bring back Twiggy.

Thankfully Miss J is there for comic relief
&
The ultimate in delicious...Nigel Barker.
Great eye candy!

So tell me, did you watch, have any favs yet?

Tasty Tuesday

That's right.
Welcome to another edition of Tasty Tuesday (and that is Tasty w/o the "e" unlike Wil.I.Am who spells it with an "e" in Fergie's song "Fergilicous"....but I digress).
This Tasty Tuesday is brought to you by
South Jersey Mom Bloggers (go ahead, click, you know you want to check it out & join!!).

I thought I would post last nights dinner recipe.
Easy & took 20 mins TOPS!

Pork Chops w/ Roasted Potatoes.

Here is what you will need:
Roasted Potatoes
4-5 red potatoes
2tbs EVOO
Garlic Salt
Basil

Cut potatoes into chunks. Coat w/ EVOO, sprinkle with garlic salt & basil.
Cook in 500 degree preheated oven for approx 20 mins.
Remove.
Serve.
Deliciouso!

The pork chops I have posted before.
You will need.
4 boneless pork chops
Garlic Salt
Pepper
Chili Pepper
BBQ Sauce

Sprinkle garlic salt & pepper on chops. Rub w/ a tbs. or so of chili pepper.
Broiler for 4 mins each side or pop these chops in the George Forman Grille for 5 minutes.
Then apply a coating of bbq sauce to each side. If you are broiler, broiler for an addt'l minute each side, if using the George Forman, pop in for about another minute or so.
Remove.
Serve.

Viola.

This meal was a hit & my picky 2 yr old, loves these chops. He actually eats them.
Woo!

Top 10

Do you have one?
You know your Top 10 List of People that your significant other can't get mad at you if this person happens to knock on your day & want to whisk you away for days of hot monkey love???
I have a Top 10 list.
Bobster just informed he has a Top 10,000 list, after I told him his list was obviously on an Etch a Sketch b/c it constantly changed.
Altho. Lucky Liu is a constant figure on his list.

I thought I would introduce you to my Top 2, the Kings of my list.
They are really tied but for the sake of this post we will say they are #1 & #2 respectively.
First up: Chad Kroger from
Nickelback.

Damn! He is so sexy!!!! He has the build that I like, the wide shoulders, the bigger nose, the eyes & the goatee. Yummy!!!!!!!! So if he ever knocks on my door........I will be absent from blogging for a few days. :>)

Next up. The one, the only, oh that's right, Kid Rock!!!!
Cowboy Baby!!!!
Gosh, he is SeXy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Look at those eyes, so blue & that mouth!!! Whew, is it hot in here????

Obviously he would be so into me. I mean come on why have Pam Anderson when you can have a fluffy, need a touch up, stresed out mommy blogger.

There is no comparision really.

So, um, Kid, gimme a ringy dingy, ANYTIME! I am here for you!

Now, tell me, who is on your Top 10 list?
