Christmas is right around the corner.
Like 11 weeks away.
Well, last year I discovered this blog/community:
100 Days to Christmas
What a fabu site!!!
Jennifer, the owner, posts something everyday to do to get ready for the Holidays.
And she includes everything in the holidays.
Like Halloween activities & Thanksgiving checklists etc.
Talk about a motivator.
This year she even started a community where you can go & chat it up with other people trying to get their "holiday on" (I'm so street, it's scarey, no?)
Anyway, go check it out!
100 Days to Christmas
Tell her I sent you
You will not be disappointed.
First, tell me how are you preparing for all your activites for between now & the Christmas/Hannukah season?

About 5 weeks ago or so I started finding bees in Cheeks room.
Just thinking they were getting in when we opened doors or windows.
Then about 2 weeks ago I was in his room & was killing bees left & right.
Bobster had already been in his room & killed about 5 or so.
While I was in there, I lifted his shade & lo & behold there are about 10 of them in the corner of his window.
I locked up his room & Cheeks has been sleeping in our bedroom since.
I called the office of where I live.
Explained the problem.
Now I did notify them 3 weeks prior & all I got & my neighbor got was a letter asking us not use the front door.
So I bitched to the answering service, didn't get anywhere, bitched to the maint. guy, didn't get anywhere. The office mgr here didn't seem to want to be bothered or help me out so I called the corp. office in North Jersey.
Finally, the office mgr had an exterminator come out.
The exterminator tried to kill the suckers off but to no avail the bees lived on.
So the office mgr got a bee expert who came out yesterday.
Come to find out...the bees had built their hive in the floorboards of Cheeks room.
There is now a 12x12 hole in my child's bedroom floor.
Everything should be resolved by this weekend.
And the bees are gone.
You can see Cheeks window in relation to my front door in this pic:
What are those papers over my front door?
Oh those are like fly paper except they attrack bees.
You can get a good look at the amount of bees that were living in my floor in the following pics:
The office mgr didn't think we had a problem.
Guess those bees proved his ass wrong.
Then again the office mgr walked in when the bee expert was removing the hive & the bees attacked him, stinging him on the neck & face.
Well, buddy, KARMA IS A BITCH! Isn't it?
Sorry I am a bit bitter.
Oh & the hive?
The expert had to put in in a 5 gallon bucket to get it out of the house.
So what unexpected house guests have you had lately?
1st up: The Grandpop.....Look @ that concentration. Hmm, wonder what's in there? Notice the farmers tan on his arm...you can see where his watch was. Stylish, no?
The Nana....she had no idea this pic was being taken. She will tell me to take it down b/c she looks terrible...don't listen to her. She will tell you all kinds of things about me to make me take down the pic, again down listen to her. She lies. It's very sad.

I don't think he enjoyed his visit but it's over now til his 4th year (or if he gets sick before that....let's hope not!)
Anyway, my little man is ranking in the 95th percentile for height & weight.
Ht: 40 1/4"
And he just turned 3 in August.
I guess he's gonna be big.
The doc thought he was older than he was b/c he's big.
He's such a love!
Cheeks, not the doc.
What kind of updates are oing on in your life?

I mean, really, it's all a dollar!
Just one dollar.
I got those goodies up there the other day.
The ribbon I used on my door arrangement & still have plenty left...just to figure out what to do with it.
The acorns I just used as decor...will post pic later of what I did with them.
What do you like to buy @ the Dollar store?
Are you decorated yet for fall?

Sure, he left his web.
Didn't even have the common decency to clean up after himself. Left his home & all.
I hope he doesn't come back.
Very poor pet/houseguest.
Now since the fall like weather has hit South Jersey (for the most part), I thought I would break out the fall door decor.
I simply love my fall arrangement.
I got the tin thing through Southern Living....love them!
The hydrangeas are from Michaels.
The beady dohickeys are from Michaels as well.
The ribbon is courtesy of the Dollar Tree.
You can find some cheap decor stuff there, along with pregnancy tests.
Yea, sure, b/c I would trust the accuracy of a Dollar Tree preggy test.
And NO! I am not pregnant....at least I don't think I am.
I probably just caused the Nana to have a slight stroke that there is a possibility.
Appratently I am the spawn of Satan when I am pregnant.
Geesh...I just get a little irritable.
Anyway I will prob. break out the rest of the fall decor this coming weekend.
How about you?
Are you decorated for the season yet?
Got your Halloween treats up?

Well out of the corner of my eye I see something crawling.
What could it be?
It just looks like a brown lump?
Look a bit closer.............
It's a furry lump ya know.
All closed up.
Here gander at this one.
Oh that's right.
It's a FREAKIN TARANTULA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
This pet is the size of a quarter.
Sure the pic isn't the best but I was working with what I got.
If there is one thing in the world I am terrified of it's FREAKIN SPIDERS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Needless to say I almost pooped my pants but composed myself enough to take pics.
I called Cheeks over & he promptly tried to poke it (thru the screen).
I had to tell him "No! Mommy is scared of them."
Thank God Cheeks is the Cricket Killer, I am going to sic him on this one if he's not gone by the time I get home from work.
If he isn't, then I will call him Chet & admire him thru the safety of glass.
So what kind of pet has nature given you?

Just look @ the eye candy I have found for the upcoming Autumn season.
This hat is from Ladynarf
I would prob. look like a smacked ass wearing this but I just think it is too cha cha for words! Definitely for those eclectic/rockabilly/pinup girls out there.
Jennysbakeshop had the cutest, most adorable prints. She just doesn't do holidays but definitely stuff you can hang all year round.
I so want this print!
Look at this eye candy! Total fun. All from Crepe Confectionary on Etsy.
Do you shop Etsy?
Do you have any fav shops on Etsy?
Are you ready for Autumn?
What is your inspiration?

Not the one with the pasty white skin & red hair
The tan one...well as tan as one of my children would ever get.
I finally decided yesterday to go balls to wall & potty train Mr. Man.
So far, just one accident.
I am very happy with his progress.
Right now, he's napping.
In just underwear.
We shall see if he wakes wet or not.
Guess I'll be doing the laundry a lot more this week.
Everytime he goes on the potty I give him a treat.
Daycare should be interesting with that little positive reinforcement!
So that's where I have been.
Just enjoying some much needed time off.
I actually found time to change my shower curtain liner.....almost a year after I bought the replacement.
Just be grateful you don't shower at my house!
The weather has me itchin to change the decor over to fall
I just can't bring myself to do it when I know it's still "officially" summer.
Soon, tho, very soon.
So, what are you all doing for Labor Day?
How did your kiddies fare in the potty training?
Let me know.
