Question......

You are a waitress.
You see a small child, a baby, at the end of the table with OBVIOUS space in front of him.

Would you set down 3 glasses of soda in his reach? Would you set down plates within his reach?

Really, people, let's stop & think. There is a reason there is a massive amount of space in front of the 7 month old....he grabs everything.

So please, as a waitress, you what God gave you & think before you set stuff down in front of a baby!

Now onto my Miami Vice moment.

On my way to work this morning, do to do, do to do.....
I see 2 police car with lights flashing up ahead. They are stopped by a funeral home, so I think, ah, funeral.
Then I see a third car come up & stop in the front of the other 2...lights blazing.
Now my red light has turned to green so all the cars go.....
We get closer only 2 be stopped by 2 speeding police cars that block our lane & the oncoming lane.
Then all the policeman get out their car
AND
draw their guns.
Well now I am thinking....OMG! It's my own private television drama.
Then I see the beat up hooptie mobile on the side of the ride.
Slowly a lone arm comes out of the driver side. He emerges.
Cop grabs him & puts his arms behind his back.
So I watch this guy get frisked then realize two other cops are approaching the hooptie mobile with guns drawn.
I then see the passenger get out w/ arms up.
Cops grab him, handcuff, frisk.
Then they approach the vehicle with guns drawn, realize it's empty, start to search.
Now at this point they are letting us go pass.
The "suspects" are standing in the middle of the road, like, dum da dum dum.
Meanwhile I expected to see Crockett & Tubbs ride up in a speedboat.
Which, in itself, would have been a great site, considering there is no water around for miles.
So that is how I started my day.
My first "swarming of the suspects."

I am ending my day by saying Goodbye to Paulina Proznicova (or however the *f* you spell it. The bimbo got the boot on Dancin w/ the Starts.

I WANNA EASTER EGG!
I WANNA EASTER EGG!

As you can see, Cheekers got to meet the Big "B" today! The Easter Bunny (who by the way I didn't know was female til today...but I can tell who Bert is & who Ernie is but someone who is related to me, has no clue who which one is!).

Things went well upon this meeting. Getting him to the meeting in one outfit was not. He started out in some Gymboree/Janie & Jack ensemble. Cute, very cute. Then he decided he wanted to taste his lunch twice. So I wiped him down & realized the spit up marks were dull enough that they wouldn't be seen in the photo. Off we go. Get to mall.
Park.
Get Cheeks out.
Discover.
Spit up bright orange carrots all over the front of him (apparantly twice tasting it wasn't enough, he went for the encore!)
So I had to stop at Children's Place & get him another shirt.
So he is in his second ensemble for the photo.
Now the nice thing is, the Nana & I just strolled on up to see the Bunny. No lines. Woohoo!
Took like no time.
In & Out!

Now onto our second story.

You might be wondering why I posted a picture of Jesus.
Well.
The Grandpop bought Cheeks a picture of Jesus, like a silhouette, overlooking a little boy while he sleeps. Underneath is "Now I lay me down to sleep..."
I hung it up last week & every morning when Cheeks is picked up out of his crib he looks for the picture.
I carry him over & he smiles & smiles.
His eyes light up.
Then I ask him "Is that Jesus?"
He then laughs and buries his head in my neck.
I then ask him "Do you love Jesus?"
Again, he smiles, giggles a little & throws his head in my neck.
I then tell him how much Jesus loves him and that Jesus watches over him all the time & that he loves him very much.
Cheeks smiles the entire time.
When we go to leave, I tell him
"Say bye to Jesus, Love you Jesus"
And he smiles & watches the picture while I take him out of his room.
Incredible if you ask me.
Simply incredible & makes you wonder, does Cheeks remember being with Jesus before he came to me & his Daddy? Does he remember how wonderful it must have been? How loving?
I hope he so!

I can not believe

I only got one response to my challenge. Bummer :<(
It's still out.
Offer still stands for a treat from me as a prize.

Anyway here are some layouts I did tonight.
First one is for the scraplift challenge from www.theuntamedscrapper.com.
Second is a PoP Challenge that Nik issued on the same site.
I used some Basic Grey Skate Shoppe that Rachel (scrapbookjungle) had sent me last year. I am really getting mileage out of this paper!

Ah, Top o' the Shamrock Shake to ya!

Happy St. Paddy's Day!!! Woohoo! Break out the green bear, go see some Irish dancers, watch QVC all day. Yes, the fun is never ending.

Ok I am issuing a challenge.
A scrap challenge.
I want you to scrap a page using either a shamrock, rainbow with pot of gold, a lepruchan or an Irish quote.

When you are done, link it to my blog. I will then put everyone's name in a hat & pull out a winner. That winner will receive a treat from me.

Woohoo!
Can't wait to see what you make.

Lots to update.

1st things first...today was surgery day. Yes, Cheeks had a hernia. But he fooled everyone.

It wasn't a hernia.
It was a hydroseal.
The dr./surgeon said that it is better than a hernia & in fact, will lower his risk for having a hernia. The dr./surgeon said he does 300 hernia surgeries a year & he only sees hydroseals once every six years. So....you go Cheekers!
He's napping now.
He did really well this morning.
He woke up at 6. We put him in the car.
Got to the hospital.
Got in the back.
And they took him in for surgery at like 7:40. He fussed like once, for a minute, b/c he was hungry. He hadn't eaten since last night at 7:30 when he had his bottle.
He was flirting with all the nurses and eating his teething toy.
So thank you for all your prayers & thoughts.
We got back April 9th for a follow up.
He can resume his normal activity when he feels like it. Could be today. Could be tomorrow.

2nd. See that photo up there.
Yep.
Figured it out.
He now rolls over.
Go Cheekers!
Go Cheekers!
Of course, once he lands on his tummy, he cries b/c he hates it! What can you do.

3rd. Last week he had his 6 month check up.
29 inches long
23 pounds, 14 ounces.
My goodness!
I knew he was long!

4th. I think I hear him soooooooooooooooooooo.......................................

Woops out!
