Here are the photos from our trip to the Pumpkin Patch. Well really just the store. When we got there, it was spitting out & very dark clouds. Bobby didn't want to risk getting into the patch with the boys & Cheeks to only have to race back in the rain. Fair enough.
As the following photos show, all 3 boys got their own pumpkins. Chris picked out Cheeks pumpkin. What a good big brother. Bobby told Timmy that if he could lift it we would buy it for him. Um, yea, might want to check with Meghan on that one. Anyway how could I say no to that agreement. So Timmy lifted the gigundo pumpkin you see below. Hmm...normally not a big deal but pumpkins were .69 cents a pound! His pumpkin was $34 dollars!!!!!!
So our trip to the patch was $74 dollars....
3 Pumpkins
1 Mum (for my mommy, she likes Yellow mums!)
1 Pumpkin Pie (because the Bobster wanted one & I won't ever make it b/c I think they are disgusting...lol)
1 box of Chocolate Covered Pretzels (b/c Chris is an extortionist in training & I made a deal with him the night before...get me more of MomMom's macaroni salad & I will buy you another chocolate covered pretzel!)
There ya have it.
$74!!!!!
Next year, no trip, just pick up the Pumpkins at Walmart.
So the boys & Bobby carved the pumpkin. I took photos & swept up the mess. Cheeks slept but as you can see in the photo he was just thrilled to begin with. BAAHAAHAA.
And here is the finished product. This is the 1st year EVER that I have carved pumpkins lit up on my porch!!!! I am like a little kid & I light them everynight & keep looking at them thru the screen door. I know, I am a dork!
Well, Cheeks had his 2 month check up. 24 3/4" long & 16lbs, 14 ounces! DAMN! That's a big boy! He's was fussy Tues night but was his bright cheery self yesterday & today. Thankfully! He's a happy baby which I love. He coos & laughs all the time.
He also stares at my painting of an Amish girl. My sister is convinced she talks to him. LOL The photo is mainly black & white so I know he is staring at it b/c of the contrast.
Hmmmm...what else??? what else???? Nothing really. Second week back to work. I am exhausted at the end of the day after Cheekers goes to bed. I still have separation anxiety but I know he is in good hands & I communicate with my sister all day thru. AOL IM's so it's not too bad.
Can you believe it's 59 days til Christmas????? I have 2 things for Bobby, one thing for my sister & one thing for Cheeks. Still tons more to buy, but I figure when I am running errands if I see something I will pick it up & I will start my serious shopping after Halloween.
Well I am beat. Must finish checking my mail & go to bed!

Who survived? By the looks of this photo it wasn't Erin. :>)
Maybe it was Cheeks? He looks as if to say...well it wasn't that bad but we had an incident
What incident you ask? Well it seems that Cheek's diaper might not have been tight enough b/c he EXPLODED all over Aunt Erin. Somehow it's up the back of his clothing & Erin has it all down her leg.! Fortunately, both got cleaned up & from what I can see only Erin is traumatized by it.
As for me. I survived. No pics of me today. I was in a staff meeting from 9:30 to 3:30 so I wasn't able to really call home. Sure my mind wasn't really on the meeting but that was to be expected. I didn't cry but the separation anxiety did set in on the way to work. I missed him so much but I made it to the end of the day. Sure, my stomach was in a knot b/c I feel I should be home with him but if I want health insurance for my son & a roof over his head, back to work I go!
That's it. I am home, Cheeks is upstairs, I think asleep and in a few hours I will give him his last bottle & call it a night.

Look at that face! OMG...how can one resist just kissing it to pieces. :>)
Anywho, I have been tagged by Rachel.
I will list 5 weird things about me & then if you are tagged, you list 5 weird things about you!
1. My pinky toes sit sideways. I was told it was a birth defect but everyone in my family have toes like that, so um, no defect here.
2. I love pb&j & could eat it everyday.
3. Must have my sheets tucked in at all times so my toes do not slip out.
4. Must have the sheets covering my neck....helps to keep the vampires at bay.
5. When I point my finger, it's always bent.

See that tushie?
How can that small, teeny, tiny tushie create so much poopie!???? I was very surprised to see what awaited me in the diaper today. It was enough to use as spackle for a 9ft wall. YUCK!
The photo is from Cheek's infant portrait session. Is it not gorgeous??????!!!!!!!!!!???????? Look at that tush? I love a baby's tushie.
I am attempting to get him on some sort of nap/bedtime schedule. As I type he is upstairs in his crib crying. I put him down & in 15 mins will go get him if he's still crying. He woke up at 4am, had a bottle & went back down. Got up at 8, had a bottle & hung out. He napped for 10 mins here, 15 min's there, so I think he had maybe 25 mins of a nap before lunch. Ate his lunch, then fell asleep for about 15 mins. Then he played with the fishes & I changed him & put him down. Now he is crying. Breaks my heart but I know he needs a nap. I have to be strong & not run up there & get him. He likes to be held during the day to fall asleep. I don't mind but he can't become dependent on it.
On a scrappy note I moved my supplies to the downstairs & all the holiday crap upstairs. On a sad scrappy note, Scrapbook Answers is stopping publication. What a bummer! It was a great mag & I had a free sub that just started :( Go figure!

FISHIES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I see fishies!!! I see them! I see them! Look at them, so colorful, so fun...hmmm...do I want them fried or broiled?
As you can see Cheeks got a new seat today. His original bouncy seat was too small for him from the beginning so he used it maybe 3 times, if that. If anyone would like to buy it for a mere $25 dollars, lemme know! It's in A+++++ condition.
So on Sat I went to Friendly's with my dad & Cheeks. The host (a young, boy of about 17) asked how many. I replied "2 & this stoller". Now he could clearly see the babe, so what does he say. Oh this is good:
"Would you like a child's menu?"
Um, yes, my 6 week old will have the hotdog platter & while you are at it, throw in some crayons so he can hit himself in the eye with it since he has no hand/eye control. Hello!? That is who will be running our country in my Golden years. Scarey!
So I hit Target the other day, spent $100, hit Walmart today & spent another $100. Yea, just spending it like I got it.
On a sad note, a man walked into an Amish school today (Amish country is only 90 mins away from here) & took the young girls hostage. He then wounded several & killed some, then turned the gun on himself. His reason...seeking revenge for something that happened when he was about 12. How sad & scarey. This can happen anywhere. I am by no means an advocate for homeschooling (those that do it, no offense) but this is a reason to keep your little ones with you.
