Let's face it, it's most likely a pretty big deal in any house with a toddler/preschooler or even young child.
Sesame Street premiered the year I was born (quick, everyone do the math!) so I grew up with it. I have aged accordingly, yet Big Bird is still 6. I digress.
Now while Cheeks is a huge, Huge, HUGE fan of Elmo, he also likes Bert & Ernie.
As do I.
I am a fan of the original "muppet" Bert & Ernie.
Apparently, Sesame Street has come out with a new version.
Um, pardon my French, but WTF is that?????Claymation Bert & Ernie!
What a rip off.
I want the real thing.
Everything doesn't have to be CG'd these days.
Sesame Street does have some of the old clips from when I was little.
Like the Ladybug picnic sketch....LOVE IT!
BUT
Really? Did they have to mess w/ Bert & Ernie?
So disappointing & albeit a bit creepy.
Not creepy like the Hamster commercial for Kia, but creepy like "Ew."

Have net seen it in a awhile (Little Man is way past it, and Little Miss is not into TV at all)....but yes, I agree Burt and Ernie look a bit scary!!

I can't stand watching it now...my girls aren't very interested, except for Elmo at the end. There needs to be more puppetry and less cartoon quality. I love the old stuff too.

We sing that song in circle time....1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 11 12 lady bugs danced at the ladybug picnic LOL. Love SS just the way it is, say no to claymation!
My youngest loves SS. I love it too. It is the only time he will snuggle with me on the couch. I like all the fun celebs that come on and some of the parodies they do of popular songs. But, I'm with you. I don't like the new Burt and Ernie adventures.
I was actually thinking the same thing about the Bert and Ernie that look like Gumby. I am glad to see I'm not the only one!
