Last week the Grandpop took us shopping for some new "summer" shoes for Cheeks.
We entered Stride Rite & it was as if we entered Mecca for the 2yo's.
Cheeks spied these bad boys from the entrance
&
ran straight for them.
His reaction.
"WoW!"
Needless to say, the Grandpop said "Sure he can have them!"
They haven't left his feet since.
And he can put them on himself.
Now I thought they were crocodiles.
Have til this morning when I was researching for a pic.
Cheeks insisted they were a dinosaur.
Hmph!
Guess who was right?
Yep.
They are the Polliwalks T Rex Croc.
How cute are they?!
Next up is the infamous "The Cat in the Hat" by Dr. Suess.
This is out nightly read.
I mean, EVERY night.
And during the day too, when he feels like hearing a story.
He jumps up & down.
Points out the fish, when the cat is sad, Thing One & Thing Two & when the mommy (me) comes home to see her kids (Cheeks & his cousin, Amanda).
I have to tell you tho.
This book is getting old.
I asked him last night if we could read another book.
His reply:
"No, I good. Read dis one"
So I read it.
And I will continue to read it.
I am very happy he has developed an interest in books finally.
I like to read
&
was hoping he would get that gene. Hee hee.
So what are your little ones into? Or what were they into?
Tell me.
Woops out!

Love those crocs...they are so cool...hmmm...Pooh is into the dogs water dish...whatever's in the lowest shelf of the fridge...and anything having to do with outside.....
Okay - lovin' the crocs girl... WAYYYYY too cute. I'm so glad Cheeks is loving the book. It's so awesome when kids develop an interest in reading. Dalton's reading the 4th Harry Potter book now and I'm so happy for him that he is loving reading something... it's been like pulling teeth to find his interest. He flips and flops like a fish out of water...
We read to Eric every night also...current fave book is "Go Dog, Go." this will last for a few weeks until he changes his mind...we have piles of books next to the glider chair for him to choose from. Thomas, Max & Ruby, Great Big Fire Engine Book, Little Engine That Could...the list is endless!
He is still currently into trucks, buses, construction vehicles, fire trucks, ambulances, police cars, anything BOY!
Seth still loves trains, but is moving onto space ships and all space themed things. Tyler loved Batman when he was little...he must have been around two when that started...I am still sick of Batman. Garret and Tyler both loved trains at Cheek's age. Courtney was into her dolls and Emily loves rag dolls.
Books...Tyler had a favorte board book. I still have it somewhere Look Who's Peeking. And Tyler had a talking Pooh that I bought for him the Christmas I was expecting Garret.
